Cheryl Patterson Brand New Beader

I just wanted to say I found this great site for new beaders to learn basic stitchs in seed beading. It is Beaded Patterns.com by Dragon. She is very good to explain the basics and the instructions are FREE! I will go to this site more often and order once I get the hang of it.

Thank you Dragon for helping me to learn what the expensive books failed to do.

Good Day - Well, it's hot here down the shore! Love it and my flip-flops are on 24/7! I'm getting ready for the Ocean Grove Craft Festival in NJ. Takes place September 4th. Catherine Carl Not much new. :(

So even though I said I would bead more often, i didn't find the time. You see, (haha excuse time!) I didn't realize I was going to have to direct a play along with be a narrator and dancer in it. So because of that I have had very little free time and most of my free time goes to packing or getting in shape for color gaurd tryouts next year. Did any of yall do color gaurd in high school? The flag girls with the marching band, not the ones with the jrotc. My sister was a flag girl and so was…

Frances Perdew Summer Festivals and Fairs

Summer is supposed to be here, but here in Northern California Wine Country the weather has been frustrating. Beautiful warm days with a gentle breeze and in the 70s. Then in a couple of days its 55 and raining. At least our 'golden' hills here in Sonoma County seem to be staying a little greener, a little longer.

I want to announce that coming up on Saturday, June 19, 2010 I will…

Catherine Carl Moving!

Well even though I've had an account on here for a while, I've never posted a blog. So I'm gonna try to post more often. But! As you can see by the title, I'm moving. Again. So I won't be able to bead as much for about a month starting in like a week or 2 so I am going to try to fit all the beading I can in that little time period and document it on here! Since its already like 9, I'll get started tomorrow. (Yeah I know, I'm a procrastinator XD) So tomorrow I think I'm going to try to make… Continue

Linda Karpinski More time in a day?

I work full time as a First Grade teacher and am starting up my jewelry business. I've been making jewelry for over 10 years and have decided I need to make a go at turning my jewelry into a full time business with my own bead store in the next few years or until I find the start up $! I am also in the process of losing weight and have lost almost 100 lbs with about 50 to go! So then I have to figure in gym time. So needless to say, my time is very limited! :( My question to those out…

Metal Beads on the Cheap

Metal Colored Glass Seed Beads

Let us face it already - metal is just outrageously priced right now! This is especially true of gold and silver. I remember back in the day when I could order loads of sterling silver or gold-filled wire and not think twice about the price. The same was true for metal beads that I could use as spacer beads when doing bead stringing. When stringing up beaded bracelets...
