Phyllis...I don't know about being a Shehero! ;) But I do know I have a hard time telling people "no". My teenager is a boy...6'2" and football player size! He's usually good about stuff and I'm thinking of "hiring" him to do some labeling and other stuff.

Cathy, I would love to see them as well. It might make a good reason to get the sewing machine out of the box I moved it in 4 years ago! :)

This is great. Got any pictures? Thank you so much for your help.

My mother made cases for me out of quilted fabric. The one for my bracelets is about 16" x 20" with an unquilted 16"x10" flap on each end. She sewed a 20" strip of velcro acroos the top and middle and then put 3" strips of velcro about every 2"-3" across the 20" strips. I just loop the 3" strips through each bracelet, fold it over and close it against the 20" velcro strip, fold in the unquilted end flaps over the jewelry, roll everything up (like a bed roll-LOL) and tie the roll on each end with the tie-strips she attached. Works great! The jewelry is protected by the quilted fabric, the velcro makes it easy to get the pieces out and on the displays and most importantly, they pack well and don't take up much room. I LOVE them!!

Anyone got any ideas on how to carry jewelry to shows? We just use polybags and lots of cushion so the jewelry doesn't get damaged. Anyone else do something better? Bead on!!

Wow Linda, you are my SHEERO!! Again, ask for help. Your teenager - that's how we got started! If your teen is a boy, ask him to help you with all the physical and heavy stuff or to design displays for you. They love doing that kinda thing. But always stay close to your faith and pray. That is the foundation for everything.

Thanks Phyllis & Jamie! I guess I have too many irons in the fire right now! School is almost over so maybe I just need to do what I can now and really bust a move during summer! Just so many things to do to actually turn jewelry making into a business! I'm also a single parent, so "me, myself and I" are the only ones bringing in money, raising a teenager, keeping house and trying start a business. And like Phyllis said, it's almost like having 2 full time jobs!

I am in the basic same situation, with with two kids and one actively involved in sports. but I know by following my dreams and achieving my goals and being very patient that I will be leaving an amazing legacy for my children to follow,so I use this as my catalyst to keep moving forward. I hope this helps.
