Wire lace ribbon or wire mesh can be used a couple different ways. I have used it a few times, it is a really unique material. For those who are wondering what this is, and where to order some, here are some links:

I finish the ends using metal crimp ends or leather tab ends. These basically fold over the rough ends of the cord, then using pliers you crimp down the tabs so they hold the mesh tightly. Tube ends would probably work as well, or I would imagine you could even run a needle and thread a couple times through the ends and sew the cord hiding it underneath some pretty fabric or even leather. I placed beads inside my metal mesh, although it also looks nice on it's own with just a pendant. Knot the cord in between beads if you want to hold them in place.
