Wire lace ribbon or wire mesh can be used a couple different ways. I have used it a few times, it is a really unique material. For those who are wondering what this is, and where to order some, here are some links:

I finish the ends using metal crimp ends or leather tab ends. These basically fold over the rough ends of the cord, then using pliers you crimp down the tabs so they hold the mesh tightly. Tube ends would probably work as well, or I would imagine you could even run a needle and thread a couple times through the ends and sew the cord hiding it underneath some pretty fabric or even leather. I placed beads inside my metal mesh, although it also looks nice on it's own with just a pendant. Knot the cord in between beads if you want to hold them in place.

I didn't think of using cord ends, I used ribbon ends which are more expensive ~

I buy a lot of mesh for the stuff that I make. My supplier of this wire cloth material ( http://www.bwire.com/ ) is always very easy to work with and helps me out a lot by giving me ideas of what people have tried to do in the past, the shapes of the mesh that they might have purchased, and what alloys and size openings in the mesh tend to look the best when it comes to making these pieces.
