Have you ever considered colors, precious stones or semi-precious stone's meaning in your design?
Many have look to metaphysical or occult for meaning of stones and colors.
When I ever I decide to create a piece I wonder what my customer would like, I considered colors and metal tones and stones themselves. For thousands of years different cultures, used semi-precious stones, beads, glass, and precious stones to create beautiful pieces.
Some were for protection; others ward off the evil eye, love, and some much more.
Colors meaning... here are a few colors...
But the meaning can change depending where u looks. (Different cultures)
Green= money, growth yellow=creativity, increased energy, abundance white= purity
Blue= soothing comfort and healing red= love, passion pink= self- love and compassion
Purple= protection black= unity of all colors and protection
Semi-precious stones and their meanings...
For thousands of years …many stones have meanings we’ve seemed to have forgotten or thought of them as old wise tales. Don’t be surprised if you learn something about your favorite stone.
Note there are many more stones than what I’ve listed and many are still being found today.
Amethyst= healing energy, protection aqua marina= soothes, calms and courage
Carnelian= strengthen creativity, grounds you into reality citrine= dispels negative emotions. Diamond=abundance, fearlessness, fortitude. Emerald= inspiration, patience, bliss, loyalty
Garnet= balances energy, inspires love and devotion jade=purity and serenity
Opal= protective, self-worth quartz crystal healing, spiritual guidance
(Though many quartz stones each have a different meaning… for example rose quartz =unconditional love, infinite peace) there are so many that’s it’s hard to list every single one. There are so many stones out there, I wouldn’t know where to stop or start
Which stones do you know about? Have you ever wondered about your birthstone?
There is always more to it if you look beyond mundane world and see if it helps your sales…it does for mine. My customers like to learn a little about my stones and what makes them different from other retailers. Try it see what you think…
