Any Crafters have advice on getting set up as a Credit Card merchant for the upcoming fairs/festivals?

I currently do not have the ability to make credit card transactions for customers in person unless I am using online invoicing through Paypal. I have used this at my jewelry parties and it is fine for that purpose, but going into the craft fair season, I would like to be able to offer this option to buyers.

Does anyone have any suggestions of the best way to go about becoming a credit card merchant? I understand there can be a lot of fees involved, and my monthly sales are minimal so I need to put out the least amount possible.

Any advice would be great appreciated!!

I use www.Propay.com. I have been using Propay now for a couple of years - no problem.

I use propay also and love it. It is simple to use and not too expensive.

Check with your bank. We opened a business checking account with Chase Bank and they offered credit card services through authorize.net and paymentic. We call in for authorization on clients credit card. They charge us $10.00 a month for the service.
